Hi! I'm Meri.
A Utah native, nature enthusiast, and canine companion lover. Traversing mountains, sitting under the canopy of sun soaked trees, and sharing life with a canine companion are some of my greatest joys. My greatest motivation is to see people, animals, and the environment live as healthily and happily as possible. My free time is spent in the great outdoors as much as possible which includes: hiking, car camping, lake lounging, landscape painting, and learning to identify the elements and species of our incredible natural world.
That evokes a picture a little bit different than the stale, serious, insurance professional sitting in a gray cubicle, doesn’t it? Believe it or not…no one in insurance expects to find themselves in insurance. I’m no exception. So, why insurance?
Because my brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia in his early 20’s and requires complex ongoing medication management to function.
Because my best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer in her early 40’s, used her health insurance for treatment, survived, and is thriving.
Because my 96 year old Grandmother passed away prematurely due to negligent healthcare at her assisted living facility.
Because my fur baby, my soul’s companion, Bandit, was unexpectedly diagnosed with bone cancer at 8 years old and passed away just 2 months later. Had I signed up for the pet insurance plan I’d found just a few months prior–the possibility of him living longer (and the expense) would have significantly improved.
We all love to hate insurance but it is part of our society AND lack of understanding does not make it the enemy. Transparency is the cure and insurance can in fact provide financial protection when it matters most.
Learn it. Know it. Use it. To protect yourself, your loved ones, and your furry soul companions. Getting it right before you need it is one of the most impactful things you can do. I’m not passionate about insurance. I’m passionate about protecting the lives we love and would be honored to help you protect yours.
